Has anyone used the NGK O2 Sensors? How do they compare with the Bosch sensors. Should i stick with one brand over another?

an O2 sensor is an O2 sensor.... i really dont believe them to be anykind of a fuel mileage saver over another brand.... to me they all work the same but its the name your paying for and maybe quality but no matter what they all have the same service intervals that call for them to be replaced at a certain mileage....

Thats good to know. I'm looking at replacing mine. I'm approaching 100K with the originals and saw summit has NGK's for under $50 each.

Larry recommends the NGK.
And they are much less money than the Bosch.

I think I remember reading where larry said he found a batch of bad bosche o2 sensors. I think he said he had to break out the diagnostic gear to really test to see that they were bad. On the thread I think is where he recommended the NGK.

Yes found a lot of them going bad no mileage loss
cant see it on the scanners but trucks running
very doggie with the bosch failing from 10 to
30,000 miles

could not figure out what was going on so I taped
the o2 at the comp hooked to an ociliscope and
the wave form was not even close to what it
should be

The chrsler org sensors are NGK NTK your just
paying for the name on the box go right to
NGK.com and order your sensors for about half
price

We will never use the bosch in our shop again
after what we went threw with them lots of
customer complaints of bad running trucks all
from the bosch o2s

Some say O2 sensors should be a regular replacemrnt item on the mantainance schedule; some say run em till they fail.
Since all the resident mechanics are here, how about your feedback, please.

recomended replacement 60 to 80,000 miles

But I have seen them go bad in 5,000 miles and
last over 250,000 miles

they do get lazy and react slow most when they go
bad will drop gas mileage 2 to 5 mpg some the
mileage will remain good but poor performance
from a lean condition

they do all kinds of diff things some can not
be seen with a volt meter or scanner only with
watching the wave form on an ociliscope can some
of the bad ones be seen
