I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota SXT 53000 miles, flowmaster exhaust, painted the fender flares and front bumper black to match the truck, Roll Pan, and some engine mods. My question is that my old man is getting rid of his 01 Durango R/T becasue of a tranny problem and hes willing to let me take the R/T wheels off and put them on my truck. My whole purpose of this truck was to clone an R/T so I did but should I take the wheels and put them on or just sell my truck and buy an R/T. Iam planning on a 360 300 HP engine swap once I hit 75000. What should I do?

So.... what's the cost to you for the wheels?

If they're freebies, and you're planning on spending a couple grand once your truck hits 75K, go for it.

If your question is really should you sell your truck now and buy an R/T.... Well, again - the question is how much do you want to spend now, and are you going for a new R/T or a used one? $2K goes a long way towards a decent down payment, for either a used truck or a new one.

It's all economics when you get right down to it.

most likely he'll be buying a used R/T cause the R/T ended i believe in 04 and if so most likely it will be ragged out cause its been driven to death... atleast you'll know your truck will have a fresh 360 in it when ya drop it in...

Tucker I am getting the wheels if I trade him for my stock SXT 16's. I think its a pretty good deal I mean the R/T wheels arent that easy to come by. Thanks Scott and Tucker for your input.
