Has any one installed a V8 CAI on their V6... K&N has them but only listing them for the V8 and the same for the new one thats out from Frame called Boost2.... As many of these trucks ive seen i never paid any attention to the location of the air hat on the TB to see if the cold air tube is gonna be long enough or to long for it to fit with the heat sheild.... Just wondering cause it will fit but need to know if it will fit the way it needs to befor i spend over 200 bucks for one....

many times usualy you need to change the mounting
and just shorten the tube

I have also seen many home made cold air with
PVC pipe painted black a newer style air hat
a couple rubber hubs and a K&N cone filter just
as good as any you can buy for $50 $60 these
were made.

Don,t beleave these big horse power gains some
companys claim, better throttle response and
gas mileage maybe 5 hp with a bigger body thats
about it

i could just make one like ya described but i plan on making a ram air set up and would like to use the aluminum body air tube cause im gonna have air coming in from the left and right side of the truck but it would be nice if the aluminum tube from the fram cold air would be long enough cause of the air hat sitting back alittle further... i guess this is gonna be one of those trial and error deals buy it and use how it is till make the way i want it to be when i go to do the ram air...
