think this could be a repeater, if so forgive me. 0430, got home from work little while ago and too damned lazy to go through 350 or so pages of posts to figure it out on my own. got a 2000 qc 5-speed, 3.55 gears with almost 79k on the clock.

mods to date: el cheapo v8 tb and clutch fan removed.

mods yet to come: cai, hs 1.7 rockers, high flow cat and muffler, headers and 3.92 maybe 4.10 gears. mods going on pretty much in order as listed

know that the gears wont really add anything. just put the power on the ground faster and harder than the 3.55 will.

what kinds of numbers should i expect if i were to put it on a dyno after all mods are in place? if i did forget anything else that would help release every single pony and ftlb then bring it to my attetion. every little bit counts.

nothing stupid or ill amsoil and tb spacer you. LOL now, i am not a amsoil hater. sure it may be a good product, but i prefur dino over syn in all my vehicles.

i've read that a v8 tb will give about 15rwhp and the 1.7RR's about 18-20rwhp. removing the clutch fan, probably about 2rwhp.

You better order the HS rockers now.
Summit has been backordered for over a month.

Get a Fastman 46 mm TB and you will have a better performing truck. I too had the V8 TB and removed it. Not too sad to see it go. The Fastman really does work better.

Not to ruin any dreams here, because I know I'm probably going to get bashed for it, but you'll be lucky to get around 15-25 hp out of it... This is mainly because of the exhaust system your going to be sticking on it... Yes the higher and easier flowing system will give extra power, but only after you've done some serious type of modifications such as heads, cam and intake and even then they should all be matched to one another... In simplest terms you have to allow it to breath better before you can expect anything out of allowing it to "dump" better... Infact the eshaust system may even hurt you up untill that point:// You can't just go sticking stuff on it and expect high gains... Yes as previously stated they will all make it better in one degree or another, but whether or not they have the ability to work together at the present moment and time is a whole other story...

This is my experience with the exhaust issue. My Mods are: Modified Intake manifold, V8 TB, 1.7 Crower roller rockers with guide plates and extended push rods, JBA Headers, Under Drive Pulley, #19 FMS Fuel injectors, Acell super coil and MSD 6A. Black magic electric fan, and single flowmaster exhaust. I had a lot of power and was running away from V8 trucks. I swapped out the single exhaust for a flowmaster duel exhaust and lost a bunch of lowend torque. I plan on going back to a single exhaust soon. Just have to figure out how to sneek it past the wife.
