Message:
I'm going to replace the
fuel filter on my '98 Dakota V6,
4X4 and I was wondering if
anyone has the part # from Dodge.
Dodge dealer said it may not be
replaceable, but I remember
some of you guys talking about
replacing them.
Thanks guys.

Relf.

there is a fuel filter but ya gotta pull the tank and remove fuel pump inorder to replace or replace fuel pump assembly cause they might not be removeable... i never tried to remove one when i had a pump assembly out so i couldnt tell ya if it comes off.... but to replace that filter if it could be done it aint worth dropping the tank if there isnt a problem in there...

It's much easier to remove the bed than to drop the tank.

Big round right on the very bottom of the pump
what a dumb thing to do hey

The regulator is also on the pump assy if any goes
bad get a master pump with all this and the guage
sender all on there

Its amazing I have seen these units go over
300,000 miles and more

check all the diff parts stores some do list the
filter seporate

The newer systems don,t even have a shrader valve
you need a line adapter just to check presure
another fine idea

I think all this was done because they don,t want
people to mess with anything anymore
