to stay with TB would be your best bet and run the MSD with new coil.... cause pending your states emissions... if ya go carb you might be oushin your vehicles emissions limit over the edge and the emission testing facility may not pass ya...

From what I've read, the MSD doesn't do much unless you have some heavy mods. It won't hurt anything but seems there's better ways to spend the money. I agree with the emissions tho, going from TB to carb will probably screw that up.

Bingo wahrsuul...... only thing your going to gain is LESS life of your Wires, Dist. cap and rotor and plugs. You do not even come close to the mods that would benefit from the Msd
Now. Do yourself a faver. 8MM plug wires, Brass contact dist and rotor(NAPA is good) , and a 30,000 volt coil. will be good to 8'000 RPM which you will never touch. DO NOT go higher on coil volts. If your smart, you will install CHAMPION TRUCK PLUGS. By far the best your going to get. Can't tell you how happy this setup will make you. Open the plug gap 10 thousands wider then recommended stock unless you drive like a little old lady.

So many problems .... So little time
