Why in the world do headers for a V6 cost so damn much. This is ridiculous. Headers for our poor little engines should not cost $400 at the least.

Every thing for the V6 is more expensive
I paid $330 from KRC for the last set I got

The headers will not help you but harm perf
untill you get more air in anyway

cold air
bigger throttle body
1.7 rockers

Have the cold air, and bigger TB and was gonna go with some 1.7's and some headers and a high flow cat. Current Mods > V8 TB, CAI, Accel Cap and Rotor, Taylor 8 MM wires, Blaster SS Coil, Flowmaster Super 40, and the Superchips. Right now I'm kinda happy with the Perf. of my truck its a lot more lively then when I bought it. Just lookin to squeeze a little more out. I wish I could find a SC cheaper than $3-4K but oh well.

I looked real hard at header prices on the net this past weekend. I have to agree that the danged things are just too high! I created a spreadsheet of my findings, but it's on the other computer. I'll fire it up after supper and post the results, but they range from about $360 for nickel-chrome to $680 for ceramic coated - although one site claims to have them for something over $500.

i agree with the price being out there
see if larry responds to this thread again guys
the exhaust manifolds off i know 93's and i think 92's also
anyway they have larger ports
and give an average increase of 10hp if i remember right
wait to hear from larry on this
he's the guy thats got it down to a science
(only reason i mentioned it is, alot cheaper then headers and just about the same affect)

If you go to a yard that has the parts already removed, how can you tell if the manifold is from a 92 or 93??

Hey, forgot to mention - those prices were for a 2002. Earlier than '97 (I think) the headers were different and prices were lower, but I think these prices should be good for Gen-III V-6's.
