if your dealing with a fuel injected 3.9 they dont have a aftermarket intake for them from ive seen on here unless you go to hughes engines website from the link thats posted on the links page of this site...

They did make them for the pre mag

Good luck I went to my friends bone yard and
he only had 6 pre mags 2 TB and 4 carb man these
motors are disapearing fast no mags at all dam
I am looking for another motor cheap any condition
except a rod tru the block

Larry,the 88 up roller premag will except the cam and heads,ect from the mag,i did this on a 92 about 5yrs back it worked out fine,in fact the motor is running to this day,[the 87s are flat tappet if i remember right]
