 Subject: exhaust exit question

What size tip to I need for my muffler? I have a Flowmaster Delta 40 series. I want to put a turndown tip on ot. I bought a 2.5, it was the exact same size as the outlet, therefor too small. I went back and got the 3", too big. I can't find a 2 3/4. What am I suppose to do? Any ideas?
99 Sport 3.9 V6, 5/7 drop, 18" Coddington Stingrays on the way,
V8TB, IAT, Flowmaster Delta 40, 180* TSTAT

You will have to find a 2.5" inside diameter.
