Well about 6 months ago I purchased a 94 Dakota 4x4 v6 5 speed and its exhaust system time. I don't know much about after market exhaust systems. I do know however, that I like the sound of a flowmaster. Can anyone clue me in onto the advantages of a flowmaster muffler, specificaly in the performance area. thanks

check out Magnaflow too. The exhaust shop told me they give you more horsepower and sound better on V6s than Flowmaster. I got one and am pleased w the perfomance

go with a 50 or 30 series flowmaster or a borla they have a nice deep aggressive tone and they'll give you an additional 5 to 20hp

Advice - Don't ever put an aftermarket muffler on anything less than a V8. I have a Magnaflow on mine and I can't wait to get the money to take it off. But, I don't care for any V6 sound.

Will any aftermarket exhaust make the 3.9 sound ricy? that is my one big fear. i've been contemplating an exhuast system myself but i can't help but compare the sounds of my friends v6 mustang with split rears to what my truck might sound like. His car sounds awful! especially when you romp on it. Keep in mind, i'll put an intake on it too, if that means anything as far as sound. I'm tending to think that V6'rs are better if you just leave them stock, your never gonna get that V8 sound. The import sound is almost inevitable. someone give me some input please. What do the gibson's sound like, i was looking at those but did not find split rears, only singles.
