When your truck was surging and you replaced the TPS (throttle positioning sensor) did your cruise control also not work as well? My speedo bounces around, cruise control doesn't work and my RPMs go nutso. Been to the dealership 4 times they've replaced several things and I think the TPS might do it? anyway thanks in avance.

My cruse worked with the bad TPS, it surged with the cruise control on than more than it did with it off. I eventualy got to where it surged all the time on or off. any more questions just ask I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Well I told the stearlership to replace it and the mechanic refused to. He says there is no way that is the cause of this. So, I guess when they give me my truck back and say it is fixed I will just fix it myself.

But he did tell me the cruise is not working becuase the brake sensor is bad, so that will be replaced.

Was your speedo working right?

yea the speedo was working fine. I just saw the RPMs jumping. The TPS is VERY easy to replace. two torx screws hold it on. It is the sensor on the right side of the TB looking from the front of the truck at the motor. I check the board every day so let me know.
