i have a 2000 dakota w/ the 3.9 and it has been idling at lower rpm's then normal and often times when braking from cruising speeds it will stall out... i changed the plugs and it didnt seem to help much, and now i am clueless, any input would be greatly appritiated... thanks

there are several post around here refering to the same problem. first thing, have your battery load tested. check and clean all battery connections. a weak battery will cause this.

if the battery checks out, clean the throttle body, especially the IAC (idle air control). it's on the back of the TB. 2 screws and pull it out, don't lose the oring and don't turn or push in the plunger on it.
