I need to find a set of hardened pushrods to finish up my engine set up when I return from Afghanistan. I've been looking around the net for the last 2 days and can't come up with anything. Any one know where I can find a good set?

So far this is my list from Hughesengines.com:
1. Roller rockers 1.6:1
2. Valve springs #1110
3. retainers #1276-12
4. hydraulic roller lifters #5006-12
5. Cam HER0814AL-V6
6. Pistons #2007
7. Rings #2101

What else should get thrown in there?

if you could find a set for the 5.2/5.9 you should be able to use those. you'd just have a few extras. all, 3.9/5.2/5.9 use basically the same valvetrain.

4. hydraulic roller lifters #5006-12
5. Cam HER0814AL-V6

The cams come with 3 different prices. If you send them your cams $197; they supply a good core $262; or they supply a new cam $395. Just keep in mind you need 2. As for the rest, it comes out to $755. I've got a much bigger list:
underdrive pullies, MSD 6AL, 48mm T/B, double timing chain, 8 mm wires, electric fan kit, 5.5" lift, 3" body lift, Moog ball joints, pitman arm, Heart Throb exhaust, Super Swamper Boggers, JBA headers and "Y" pipe, 4.10 front and rear, Detroit lockers front and rear, and master install kit front and rear.

josh, you could ask the guys @ Hughes but i'm 99% sure that the pieces from a 5.2/5.9 will fit on the 3.9.

as dave asked, why do you need 2 cams when the 3.9 only has 1?

I was told one cam per head. I used to drive a rice burner, so American machines are new to me. So I only need one, huh? Looks like some one is gonna get a swift kick in the nuts for being a retard and telling me 2. Thanks. As for the rods, I called them and they said the same thing, I'll just have a few extra.

if you have a 3.9 it's one cam. What yr is your truck? if you have an '04 you have a 3.7 because '03 was the last year for the 3.9.

Its a 97 3.9. Thanks for the info. I swear some of these people who call themselves mechanics are a bunch of rejects! There's usually an old drag racer at a shop across town, but he went on vacation about a week ago. I always go to him to get work done or just to ask dumba$$ questions like this. Daddio, are you close to the NY area? I'm looking for a few people to off road with.

have you thought about the Hughes modified stock intake for your project? those guys seem to know what they're doin'.

what are your planning to use the truck for? are you modding just for speed or low end grunt?

I took a look at the intake and I'll be doing that upon my return from this up coming deployment. I'll be using the truck for off-road and a semi pavement pounder. I'm just trying to pull a little more torque out of her. I'll need it with a lift and some 35's.

if you're looking for torque, i'd wouldn't modify the intake manifold except around the injector bosses and port match to the heads.

god speed on your deployment and a safe return so you can enjoy that dak.
