If you have glasspacks run your truck on the highway at 80 for half an hour, get home park it and stick your garden hose in the glasspack to break the element inside it up- this will get rid of the ricey sound 4 sure!

Thanks for everyones help, but I think I'm more confused now then I was at the beginning. There seems to be a ton of different combos that give a better exhaust tone. I think I am first going to gut the cat and keep the rest the same. If that doesn't work, then I'll put in a glasspack in place of the Flowmaster 40. I don't want to dump the exhaust under the truck because of the extra interior noise and because I like the look of two chrome tailpipes sticking out the back. Thanks again, and keep it comin'!

It's a single in, dual out muffler using 2.5" pipe. The pipe is routed (from the back of the muffler) back and splits about where the spare tire is and goes straight back to the tips. I hope that's what you wanted. I might even get some pictures of it some day if you want.
