Just curious if this has ever been done to
the 3.9L or if could even handle it.
And if it did i wonder what HP it would
put out and whats its 1/4 time would be

I believe Bernd's truck is currently supercharged with plans for turbocharging. Check out speedtweaks.net and look at Our Truck for all of his mods.
Also, check out http://www.dodgedakota.net/boards/per/3870.html for a discussion on the differences between the two.

Sic - IT can be done, but isn't cheap at all...
A guy have a car on Ebay, with two turbos blowing into a roots-type supercharger... it was a wild looking machine!
Just think of the money he must have spent on just the engine alone!!!
Now that's just... Slick...er, Sic...er, whatever!

Go to http://www.krcperformance.com they have a supercharger for the 3.9L V6. I believe its a Vortech kit.Three different types.
3.9L V-6 Vortech kit Satin $3699
3.9L V-6 Vortech kit Polished $3949
3.9L V-6 Vortech kit High Boost T-Trim $4299
Everything needed for the complete installation.
6-10 psi Vortech S-trim supercharger, Vortech FMU, brackets, 200gph inline pump, Crane HI-6 TR ignition system, 3.125" pulley standard, Other pullies available for your application.

Keep in mind, these kits running the 6 psi pulley can produce 8 psi on a fairly well breathing V-6. The impeller can be upgraded on the Vortech kit. Average 1/4 mile ET's are 14.6-15.3 @ 90-94 mph.These are in 4000 lbs Gen III 97 and newer V-6 trucks.

is there any turbo kid for that or any site to order the parts and does a kit exist for just bolt on ? i need as much power as i can get and good grade parts im more so intersted in the boost controller and the turbo every thing else i can obtain my self i just need those things preferably in a kit of some sort

They don't have a kit for us but have a universal kit. And you might get them to give you a price break if you get them to install it and use your truck as the model for a Dakota kit.
and thier system is very different than the common set up.
