The firing sequence is as follows:

The passenger side front cylinder is 2
The drivers side front clinder is 1
Your firing order for V6 3.9 is 1-6-5-4-3-2

If you are looking at your cap, the number 1 cylinder is at the 9 o'clock posistion. This was the best way I knew of describing position. Firing order will be clockwise on the cap.

Hope this helps.

on my 98 Dak, the firing order is also on the intake manifold...I failed to mention that. The cylinders are also numbered on each of the fuel injectors as well.
