I just got a flowmaster installed and built a homebrew intake. What's the logical next step, btw my wallet is about tapped. It seems like everyone has done the autolite3923 plugs. Whats so good about them? and if i put those in whats the best distance to gap them? I live in CO at over a mile elevation which apparently means i loose about 15% of my power.

Well, they are one heat-range cooler than stock, and seem to reduce detonation quite considerably. I run mine at stock gap and it seems to like it. :0)

Go to http://www.speedtweaks.net and check out the 'Tips and Tricks' section. Look at the IAT Relocation and TPS adjustment section. Also, check out http://www.fast4x4.net and take a look at the home-done throttle body port. I did it to mine, and it made a noticeable difference.

Junk yard V8 TB, that will make the biggest seat of the pants difference yet.

If your handy enough mill off the air horns and make and S bolt for the air hat.

Good luck, Scott

Which v-8 engines have TB's that work on a 3.9? Also; please explain any other changes (polishing, grinding stuff off, the "s"bolt people talk about) that are worth doing to a junk yard TB. Stuff like this makes a perfect father/son project(sorry to sound sentimental) Thanks

just get a 5.2 or 5.9 magnum TB... they both will work. cut those air horns off of the sides of the ports and round off the port edge to help flow... you could even taper the port to the blade but don't widen at the blade! use fine sandpaper attachment for a dremel to help polish everything up.
