Alright...Heres the problem...when i go to take off from a stop there isn't much power, but as i get up to around 10mph i feel more power kicking in and then around 20mph or so i feel more power kicking in. So it's like something just isn't connecting right. One of my friends told me it may be the tranny, but he doesn't know much about cars so i really don't listen to him. It did this before i did any of my mods so i know i'm straight there. Just wanting to know what may be the problem.

Also, if i let my truck sit like over night or for 6 hrs. or so when i start it up it idles really rough like it wants to die then the rpms jump up around 700 and then back down to crappy idle then back up to 700 then it idles fine. Any ideas??!!

TIA-

How many miles? I am currently troubleshooting my own rough idle at start up. Does your's calm down after a few seconds or so?(no more than a minute) I think my problem might have to do with my original timing chain having 100k on it:) If I find a definite answer I'll pass it along.

If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

i think that the rough idle is due to the IAC sensor. i would suggest cleaning it out. http://www.intense-dakota.com/tips_and_tricks.htm
there are instructions for doing this on this site. i had the same problem and i cleaned the iac and it has been fine since then.

daveshotdako,
I cleaned the IAC Sensor and when i was done putting it all back together i started it up and it died right away and it did this for about 2 minutes and then it finally idled but sluggishly. I drove around for about 5 min and then shut it off and i started it up and it died again. After this it ran fine but it still has a bad idle after i start it when it's been sitting for a while. i followed the instructions perfectly. Dunno if i did something wrong.

TIA-
BrandonG
