At what point did dodge find it amusing to make these damn things weigh so much? I thought I would amuse myself by taking my truck to the weigh station and the damn thing weighs 4500. Nothing in it either other than me and my gf and that's like a total of maybe 270 combined weight.
Plus trying to drag around the weight with the all mighty 3.9 is just kinda sad. I wanted the V8 but I "couldn't afford" the v8 I was looking at. I love being young with no credit.

Put a little work into it and you can make these V6's move pretty damn well for a truck.

Well I've already done the easiest bolt ons...CAI and V8 TB. I dont see the great gains for the AIT relocate and the TPS adjustment from what I've read. Exhuast would be nice and I'd like to swap out the cam but something like doing my cam I'd be affraid of cuz I haven't done it b4 and I'm not in the mood for messing things up. Other than that I'm not quite sure what else to do. I'll wait for the micro tuner after some more mods.

For the exhaust, try a high flow cat (about $85) and a flowmaster muffler (about $130). The AIT relocate doesn't necessarily work for everyone...mine didn't at first until at added resistance to trick the PCM into thinking that the air temp was about 50 degrees. Have you changed your cap/rotor($15) to the brass button type?(Accel, NAPA, etc), tried the CPS mod(free), upgraded your plug wires($65) (MSD, Accel, Bosch, etc) or upgraded your ignition coil($125) (MSD, Accel, etc). There are lots of things you can do that don't require taking the engine apart AND that will give you decent gains in HP/torque.

Well I have already done the cap and rotor cuz my other one was complete crap. I got the brass one from Napa. I'm thinkin about plug wires just cuz they probably need to be replaced. Would going up a size help? I was thinkin 8.5 mm.
Probably gonna go with the Cat and Muffler here pretty soon. BTW I thought about doing the CPS mod but it seemed like it was a pain in the ass.
Thanks for the advice.
