Wanted to start a little debate, I have a 99 cc 3.9 auto and went with the plane jane Autolite 3923's but I was wondered what the better plug was the platinum 3923 or the copper ones ?

99 3.9 cc auto, 180t-stat, relocated IAT, v-8TB, home-brew intake with a k&n, 2.5 exhaust through a 40 series flow....

Neither are the "better" plug, just go with the Champion truck plug #4071 and don't give it a second thought.

I agree!! I've had much better results with the champions regardless of any mods I tried.

you won't really feel a difference between the two, so neither is "better". the platinums can make it idle a tad bit smoother than the copper core's but performance wise, there's no difference. as for champions, i've never tried them but i've never had a problem with them either. alot of people like the bosch platinums (can't remember the numbers) but they're like $7 for two of them. just stick with what you have if you're satisfied with it, if not experiment with different ones.

I had the champions in for a while and noticed the truck rand a little better with the ap3923's. But its not a major increase by any means.
