I found a post about making your owm o2 sim with a 680k ohm @ 1/4w resistor and a 0.1f cap and place the resistor in line with the blue wire and the cap between the blue wire and the black wire.

well I have a couple of questions about this.

1st will this actually work instead of me having to buy a new o2 sensor?

2nd I have 4 wires not 2 and they are 2 white 1 black and 1 grey, how would I hook these up then to make it work right?

Thanks

Do an internet seach and there are several articles on making them. At least one of them address the wiring to which you referred.

Unless you are into that kind of stuff, which you probably aren't or you wouldn't need a picture, they just don't cost that much. I could probably do it myself but I wouldn't.

I am just trying not to have to buy a new o2 sensor.

I could do this but I got top thinking that this is for the wrong sensor. This is for the first on that keeps track of the air/fuel ratio and needs to flip from .1 to 1 correct?

I need the second o2 sensor that detects if the cat is workng correctly and has a constant vaule right?

Let me know if I am right or not.

the 1st O2 tells the PCM if you are rich or lean. the 2nd tells it if the cat is working or not.

I was wanting to know what the voltage was for both the up stream when it has to be flopping back and forth from one voltage to another and what the down stream needs to be doing to get a good signal to the PCM.
