Hello to all...

Recently, I had my 2000 Dakota SLT 3.9 in for service at the dealership during which they replaced the O2 sensor. This may or may not be related to what's going on now.

I am noticing that the engine is running much louder now, like the sound I used to get when I would drive the truck, turn it off while I did an errand or whatever, then start it again. I'm assuming that the "mixture" is being adjusted by the PCM in those cases, but now it's continuous. I hope this description makes some sense.

Do I have a problem, and if so, what do I need to do to correct it?

Thanks,

David
