I noticed something was missing on my 99 Dak V6. Next to the oil cap. A hose runs to the top part of the housing. What connects it?

can you get a picture? How big is the hose?
Not too familar with 99's, but a few random ideas..hose for PCV valve? Breather?

It's not the PCV, It's probably the breather. The hose is 5/8 or 3/4

On the driverside valve cover, the hose goes to the airhat. On the passenger side the pvc valve goes to the intake manifold.

he is asking about what the hose is connected to. that means a breather cap, not a breather hose
