Subject: JBA headers and exhaust?

Message:
hey, i was wondering if anyone has JBA headers for a 98 dodge dakota 4x4 3.9 L. also, would they be good with a single exit dynomax exhaust system? how much would that setup run and would it give me more power? thanks for your time

For a 95 JBA headers cost just under $400, Dynomax muffler $40-$50. I have this set-up on a 95, by itself it gives you less back pressure, maybe a nice sound. As stated by many posts the mods all work together to increase power. TB, MSD ignition, coil, plugs, thermostat, etc... A lot of people are looking for one mod that turns their truck into a fire breathing dragon and are disappointed when the one mod fails to live up to their expectations.

And they all want to know exactly how much of an increase they will get on their particular truck.

I've got the JBAs and modified exhaust and muffler and TB and the
air intake, it doesn't make that much of a difference, it's slight.

This is a V6 not an 8. You will only get so much out of this engine
unless you go drastic and supercharge/turbo or nitrous. Chasing
after 5 horses here and there is just a waste of money. Go for big
horsepower mods unless you got money to burn. Or just buy an 8.

Mark, it's kind of silly to waste your money on an a small block 8 when you dan get a big block 8. You can only get so much out of a small block. That's just another mark bit of logic.\

Get serious, mark, not everyone wakes up one day and decides to make the move from a 4 banger to a v10. Working with what you have is usually the order of the day.
