okay, my truck smells like ass pretty much. I've tried shampooing the carpets, leaving the doors and windows open on these (few) sunny Florida days, tried air fresheners, febreeze, oust, etc. etc....I know it has to be from the constant rain and me getting in and out of my truck, but does anybody know how to make it smell better!? Anybody converted to vinyl floors for that matter? Thanks~

Have you tried power washing it? Haha, not serious, but I did do that to the back of an astro van once.
Talk to a carpet cleaning company, they may do it for a small fee or you can buy this industrial strength cleaning solution from them, works nice from what relatives tell me.

Check with local auto dealers and find a good detail shop they use. Ask that outfit for a quote to de-arse it with a steam extractor and those killer chemicals they apply. I've sniffed nasty family cars that were smoked in with strange food cultures prior to treatment...gaaaa! When they're done she's spring fresh.

It sounds like you might have a leak in the cab and you haven't found it yet. Your nose is telling you its there, just haven't found that sound end of a north bound horse.

You might also think about checking out your ventilation ducts. I've had a critter get into mine on an Olds and die during the summer that left a wonderful odor that I couldn't find. Luckily (unluckily) I was replacing my heater core and had the duct work out and noticed the carcass.

Keep a can of lysol or the like in the center compartment at all times. Works great for me.

A common problem is mold or bateria forming on the A/C evaporator in cool damp environment it's in. BG makes a spray product called Frigi Fresh that you spray in the fresh air intake while the A/C fanj is running. It is suposed to kill the bacteria that causes the smell. Sometimes in extreme cases i have had to remove the blower motor and spray wash the evaporator using a garden sprayer filled with a soap solution.

sorry to hear about the foul a$$ smell, have you tried putting an air freshner in the vents so it acts when the heat or a/c is on worked for me
