spend that money you're gonna waste on that spacer on a v8 tb. you'll be much better off with the v8 tb. you can pick up a used one cheap.

power & torque, yes. mileage, yes if you keep you're foot out of it.

i've read on here the v8 tb can add around 15 to 18 hp to the wheels.

i picked one up for 25 bucks. check ebay or your local salvage yard. just find a same yr truck as yours.

the way the manifolds are designed on the 3.9/5.2/5.9's the spacer has no effect.

does your '92 have TBI(2 fuel injectors in the TB) or MFI(6 injectors in the manifold)? if forget what yr's used the TBI.
if you have TBI you may be able to just change the injectors and not the whole TB.

It is a 92 and has a Holly 2 barrel on top of the manifold w/ 6 injectors in the manifold... Someone else told me that it didn't work because of the way the manifold was disigned but, I see all the adds that say money back if it doesn't work or guaranteed improvements... I just want better gas mileage, it is my daily driver... I haven't put a K&N in it yet, I suppose that would help as well... Help please, should I just go w/ a tornado fuel saver, someone else on here siad that it helped a little...

get a v8 tb.
now the 3 most cost effective ways to improve mileage to me are:
1) check your tire pressure at least twice a month.
2) don't drive over 65.
3) make sure your truck is in top tune.

if you try to spend a lot of money to improve mileage, it will take forever to recoup the money spent to get that improvement.

i have an '00 QC 3.9 5 speed manual and 3.55 gears and i get combined mileage of about 20-22 mpg using 1, 2 & 3 above. depends how much highway i drive. i have a v8 tb, removed the snorkel from my airbox, removed the clutch fan, crank sensor mod and keep the truck in good tune.

i almost forgot. use synthetic fluids in the engine, trans and rear diff. i haven't yet but practically everyone i've talked to that has swears it helps get an extra 2-3 mpg.

good luck

Mark, if you do the tornado let me know what it does for you, I'm very interested myself. Hey daddio, I have an 88 with the TBI (to answer your question TBI is 88-91, MPI started in 92), is there a v-8 application for me to swap in?

I have a TB spacer/toranado & a ported/polished v6 Tb for sale B/O. Did I see a differance? A little bit.If you want to try them, lets me know.
I switched to a V8 TB/ modified intake/ Ram-Air.

'00 2wd ext cab sport.
Many Mods, More power,Faster(But not Fast), still have crappy MPG, but hey it's a Truck not a Neon. I like it.

i have a cold air intake, taylor wires, relocated & switchable iat, tornado air, autolite double platinum plugs, flowmaster single in/dual out exhaust, and throttle body spacer. biggest gains came from the cold air and exhaust. noticed a little on wires and plugs and iat mod. not much of a difference on the tornado or tb spacer. i can still walk off on a s10 or ranger. i am about to start looking around for a v8 tb for it.
