if that deasler can't fix it find another and tell them to keep it until it's fixed right. of course they will have to give you a loaner.

You have a new truck that is still under warranty. Take the truck back to the dealer, make them pay for you a rental (or give you a loaner off the lot - be sure to make them give you a truck - that's what you bought and are paying for) while they look at your truck.

If they don't fix it, take it back a 3rd time and have them enforce the lemon law - they'll give you a new truck.

You just need to be a little more firm, raise a fuss in front of everyone there to the manager and ask to speak to the dealer owner.

Problem with that is I have already been back to dealer 3 times. First time they replaced the enitre braking system. Second time they said we dont know whats wrong, Its not a safety issue and We contacted crystler about the issue.. Its been 3 weeks now and they still dont have an answer. Now I feel the tranny is slipping a little. I believe that is the core problem here. They will not replace anything else until the get an answer from corp. I think I am going to just trade the damm thing in for something else..To bad becuase I love the truck..

No lemon law in your state ? For those who say dealer must give you a loaner - its nice when they do, some may even have that policy; but they don't HAVE to give you a loaner. Can't fix the problem in 3 attempts and it would qualify for the lemon law in my state.

Ask them who they contacted at Chrysler and be sure to get the names. As a customer you can also contact the same people and check up on the dealer. Plus you can contact Chrysler customer service yourself if you don't think the dealer is doing its job.
I resorted to calling Chevrolet a few times when I had an S-10 when the dealer couldn't figure out problems and wouldn't help. Chevrolet arranged a loaner at another dealer and had all everything set up for me there when I arrived. Mine was a manufacturing problem (wrong gear combination in the read differential which wreaked Holy Hell in 4WD) and everything got fixed without cost to me other than time.
Raising a fuss to the manager is a good idea as long as you don't go crazy. Be sure to take a witness with you and get everything in writing, including them saying they don't know what's wrong.

If you raise enough fuss, they'll get you a rental - the point is to make demands (reasonable) ones from the dealer. You're payin for a 20-30k truck that has problems they can't fix? I got a rental car and $600 in free parts from a dealer once.

Jack has a good point, get it in writing if you can and get copies of your invoices thus far on what has been done, the amount of time they had it, etc.

Had a ford dealer (service rep) tell me once that ford engines won't run well with bosche plugs. Funny, the rused to write that down for me, or even get one of the tech's to come tell me that. You may not get anything in writing - regardless it's more for you to complain to chrysler about.

Also speak to the sales rep who sold you the truck, most of the the time, they'll help you as best they can. If they can resolve something for you, odds are you'll buy from him again.

First, stop all payment on the truck.

Second, contact a lawyer and sue for what you are out of pocket plus interest.

Thr, go to Toyota dealer and buy a Tacoma.

"First, stop all payment on the truck. "

That is the dumbest advice ever. You stop payments and the truck will get repossessed and your credit rating will go right down the toilet.

Raise hell. Take them to small claims court. Get the BBB involved.

It sounds like they have tried to fix the truck - after they replaced the brakes, did the problem go away for a little while? If so, it is like a brake rotor issue. many vehicles have had repeated probs w/brakes. (including honda and toyota) Obviously, never stop payment on your truck - that is financial suicide! the dealer certainly wont care! try to work with them - I usually get best results by being persistent but reasonable. I'm not sure the raising %^&* will get a solution - they will label you as a problem and refuse to help! unfortunately, the best fix for brake problems is aftermarket parts. Also, the lemon law in many states is so diluted that it is hard to get justice for the customer.

Rob, you say "when slowing down from highway speeds," is that with or without brakes applied? When I read about the '05 in one of the 4 wheeler of the year tests they said the front axle basically exploded on them (over use on a preproduction model they hoped). Also, the 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee was notorious for brake problems, mainly due to warped rotors. Customers I talked to said the only way they got the problem solved was when they finally pressured the dealer for after market or upgraded rotors (vented).

Also, if they won't give you a rental, find a dealer who will. I had been to 4 different Jeep dealers before I found one that gave free loaners on "major" repairs. They've given me one ever since. Sure it was a PT cruiser, but at least it didn't cost me anything. They got as long as they wanted with my Jeep to figure out why it was knocking so loud. Which they mis diagnosed and gave me a huge discount on engine replacement.

Three.9HP's right, Dakota's are the only way to go! I liked me 99 Grand Cher, but my 88 Dak will go places I'd never think to take the Jeep and is 10X better in the snow!

Well The dealer has it now. They did give me a ride to work.. I have no clue what there going to do. They said Corp said to do multiple tests. I would never STOP payment. I would like to and I feel like I should but not worth the credit hit. Besided these problems I love the truck It clearly is better than the toyota I test drove. Its all just a pain. If it is infact STILL the brakes. Isnt the warentee only for the 1st 12k miles. If so I am in trouble with that as I do about 3k a month with it.

Rob isn't your basic warranty good for 3/36000? i believe everything is covered under the basic warranty, you might also want to go and purchase the extended warranty as well, may help you out in the long run.

Just so you know. There are things that are only covered for 12 month 12000, like brakes, alignment, and the clutch. Just rember there are two things that are not covered under your bumper to bumper warranty the instant you by the car and that is the bumpers.

Rob my advice to you is to tell that dealership to get screwed call the 800 to Chrysler and complain. I use to be a service writer at a dealership in Las Vegas. I got my ass chewed once by Chrysler. I never wanted to piss them off again. As well as this is a comeback issue they should fix yours first, and be willing to do something for you. Remember the bigger the stink you make the more response you get.

here is what you do...get the phone number for corporate chrysler, go to the dealer and raise some hell telling them you want a new truck if this cannot be fixed at the end of this visit. if they do not comply call chrysler FROM the garage you are at. they HATE it when you go over their head in front of them and are likely to do something about it and chrysler is likely to do something for you. i know a guy who did this with a chevrolet dealership over a cost of a repair they quoted him 60 bucks they wanted to charge him 350. he called chevrolet and they said take it, just get the hell out of here. OK everyone Sit down and read this. Dodge has had my truck for 8 straight days. They cannot fix it.
Here is the list at a cost of 7800 that is all covered under the warentee
Last 8 days they have done this
1.New brakes all around
2.New Rims
3.New tires
4.New front and rear axel
after that the problem was still not fixed
they then
5. Went and took a brand new 05 dakota from the lot and took all of the above off that truck and put it on mine.
Guess what it still shakes..
HELP EVERYONE. Dont by an 05 right now.
Corp tells me that there over 150 same issues around the US. They have NO CURRENT FIX

i'd take it(the case) to the BBB. if you don't have a lemon-law i'm sure they could help.

if not that, either take it to another(hopefully more competent) dealer. maybe they will have better luck. it is truly sad that you buy a $25k truck with an inherent problem and the "all knowing" dealer tech's can't fix it.
