I like the all-terrain look and if you do too...check out the Bridgestone Dueler APT3's. I love mine...got em in 235/70-16's (bought new wheels when I got new tires).

If you're into the lowered look... then forget what I suggested above and wait for someone else to reply. lol

Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO smoother/quiter ride then the APT3's and do a better job offroad and in the snow. they will fit 6 through 8 inch wide rims just fine.

I have a set of widetracks on mine. They are a softer rubber compound and grip the road well. The widetracks are made by firestone. I picked up a set, mounted, balanced and installed at tires plus for about $250.

Previously I've had goodyear wranglers, BF All Terrain TA (excellent off road tire) and futura's (cooper tire).

I'd say the best "road" tires for cost and durability are the widetracks I have one now.

I now have a set of Dayton Timberlines L/T that came with the truck. The fronts are wore but the 2 rear are like new. Anyone ever heard of these tires? I believe they are made by Firestone. All & all they don't seem to be a bad tire, & I've never got stuck in snow with them & the ride is fairly quiet. I guess i'm not sure if I want to spring for 4 new tires when I have 2 that are like new. But those Bridgestone's sure are tempting.

i had the fleet farm specials (widetrack baha) tires on mine when i bought it and they suck in the snow and even rain. Bought a set of 235/75/15LT tires, toyo open country AT's. Very good tire, smooth riding and quiet on the highway and great in the snow, never stuck once and they've been on through 2 winters now. I also have the 4x2 reg cab.

I'm happy with the widetrack baha's. Of course I have a CC 4x4.

For a 4x2, you'll want an APT tire for snow. It'll grip more than a radial like the widetracks.

I wish hoosier still made road tires.. those were the best imho.
