does anyone have any suggestions on a cheap towing capacity upgrade? even with a small load my truck squats really low. i was told so far that air-adjustable shocks should do the trick. any comment would help. thx!

specs:
2002 dakota sxt
3.9L V6 2WD
standard trans.
single cab
reese L5 hitch

I know Autozone sell's "Helper springs",that just rest under your egisting leafs. No change in ride,but what a difference in load capt. I think they were about $20-$30 bucks. Cheap but very effective.

i've seen people on here mention it and swear by it. doesn't affect ride unitl loaded and adjustable too.

Yeah, go to Autozone and get the whole leaf helper, It bolts on with 2 U bolts. Very simple and effective. I have them and am very happy for 30 bucks.
