I have a Gibson catback exhaust on my truck and I love it. At first I wasn't wild about it because it seemed louder than I expected. It grew on me though. I like that it's 2.5 inches in and 3 inches out with a 3.5 stainless steel exhaust tip. I've heard that Flowmaster is pretty good too. I've never been a fan of Borla. $$$

Just an FYI. I have the single Swept Side catback kit. This produces 2-3 more horsies than the dual catback exhaust. (Straight from Gibson's mouth)

Hey youngin,
Personally I like the flowmaster. I knew that it was a name that alot of people trust and swear by. But I have heard good things about both Gibson and Borla as well.
Like I said, Flowmaster was the right one for me. The price was right and it was readily available.
Good Luck

I love my Borla. It has a great sound to it, and the quality is unbelievable (one million mile warranty). I started it up at a gas station, and a guy who was filling up his new Mustang whipped his head around to look!

Gotta love the Flowmaster 40 series Delta flow... no real "droning" in the cab. Nice rumble and loud as hell when i really light it up! Will make people look and sets off car alarms, but you cant hear them over the muffler!:) Also, its good quality and is all welded, no crimps. Good luck, just my two cents.

i like my flowmasters but it is only a single muffler with dual outlet so it didnt add much power but a loud nice sound but i think borla would be the best not real loud but with a tough sound but borla is a bit exspensive it was $539(dual) where i got my flowmasters

hey texas 97,
do u just have the muffler and that is it, no pipes? cause i was thinking about getting a flowmaster, but not delta flow. i just want it to be loud. you think that the regular 40 series will make it loud? or should i get the delta? will the delta give it more horsepower? if so how much? thanks

Jason, I have the pipes after the muffler and I also have 3.5" tips. I used to have a regular 40 series on my 92 Dak and it was loud. The Delta Flow is still very loud, but the resonance in the cab is reduced by adding an extra patition in the chamber (I think). The horsepower will be no difference between the regular and the Delta Flow. If you like a lot of noise in the cab, go with the regular 40 series, if you want less cab noise but still very loud, go with the Delta Flow. If you need a website name to order a muffler from just go to

www.racerpartswholesale.com

Let me know how it turns out.
