did not drive truck at all day before, made a quick trip with it early the next day no problems, took it to school at nite, got out wouldnt start, turn the key and it clicked, got a jump and it would wind but it sounded like it wasnt getting gas, i tried it about 7 or 8 more times giving it a lot of gas now and it finally turned over and stayed, this would have konked out if i let off the gas though, i think it rained a bit yesterday too. anyways, battery is fairly new, no problems in the past just a little corrosiion, could this be the starter, fuel pump?????? please help...

just because the battery is fairly new does not mean it is OK, the clicking when the key was turned is indicative of a bad battery, I am surprised Larry did not pick up on that.

check the connections on the battery, when you turn the key onto the fist click you should hear the fuel pump come on.

lol, i had a similar problem. This probably wont help you at all though.
I went to start my truck in my garage one day, and it started just fine, ran perfect. Drove to the store, tried to start it, nothing, just completely locked up. Tried about 10 times, then started just fine. Eventually, it stopped starting completely. I was checking out the engine, and everything was working right, so i called my brother (sicminds on here) to see what he thought. Turns out, he took out my alarm fuse since he needed something out of my truck and never put it back in. Fortunately, i had an extra in my glove box.

I just thought it was kinda funny.
