I am wanting to put lights on the truck that turn on when you put your turn signals. Like the GM veichles I guess. My question is, is how would I wire up the lights so that they will turn on when I turn? I would like the left light to light up when i put the left turn signal on and sright one to turn on when I put the right turn signal on.

yeah it came with turn signal but I would like to rig some aftermarket lights to brighten up the side of the road when I go in for a turn. I want to do this because i would like to see around the bends.

What you want to do is tricky because it really needs a seperate circuit from the turn signal switch, which presumably isn't there on your vehicle. In theory, if you isolate the circuits that activate the right and left turn signals, you could use relays to activate turning lights. You'd have to get the signal before it went to the blinker though.

Simple. Buy two relays. Use the current turn signal wire at the bulb as trigger. Run 10 gage from the battery to the relay. relay output goes to your cornering lights. Repeat on other side.
