You can do several different things.

-Intake (K&N, Airaid, 360)
-Larger Throttle body
-Exhaust (Muffler, Cat, etc...)
-SuperChips
-Intake manifold
-Roller Rockers

Just to name a few, you could also install new injectors, but have heard that they don't do all that much.

get a v8 throttle body I just did mine and I believe the v6 one is to small. I feel that I lost nothing off the line and it's stronger through the mid-range.

there are tons of things you can do to your v-6 relatively cheap that will increase power, driveability and mileage. if you do the simple things that we say on this site you can have a 20mpg truck that you enjoy driving, but im not saying its going to be a race car.

do your injector sync for starters, helps the most of anything i have done

v8 throttle body is easy and helps, exhaust upgrade, namely change mufflers because the stocker is restrictive and sounds like crap.

do a tune up plugs, cap, wires

crank position sensor mod (which i am doing this evening)

and possibly a k&n filter if you feel like spending the money for the fipk.

all of this should help you get a peppier more fun truck to drive and all of the info can be found from searching.

If you want it to be as fast as the V-8 then don't waste you money on Mods as you will be disapointed. I went this route and finally just bought a used Dakota with the 4.7 V-8.

I am going to buy a 360 and rebuild it this summer and put it in in the fall. I have the K&n and dynomax exaust, I will have the trottle boddie to put on it from the 360 so I might just throw it on while I am rebuilding the motor, is it easy to throw on?

I would not reccomend throwing, you've gotta have amazing aim. but to swap it with your v6 tb, nah not bad at all. make sure you have the right linkages before you start.

From someone who has the same truck and has done everything short of a supercharger, nitrous or turbos, just go buy a V8 unless you have money to burn and time to install all these parts. You still won't beat a V8 unless you go drastic anyway.
