Subject: Bolt size for injector sync?
IP: Logged

Message:
Anyone who has performed the injector sync on the 3.9 V6?

What size is the head of the bolt on the crankshaft to turn the harmonic balancer to TDC?

Anyone?

It's bigger than anything that I have...15/16 being the largest.

It feels as though it could be 1-1/4"

Thanks for your info if you have done this and remember what size it is.

Bob

1 1/4" or 32 mm works. the one on the distributor is 1/2". i used a crows foot on my distributor to get the bolt loose but on my grandfathers 98 5.2 i had to use a shortened wrench because the crows foot wouldnt work.
