i kno a stock 3.9 in 93 makes 180hp at the flywheel, does anyone kno what it makes at the wheels?

Rule of thumb is .8
180 X .8 = 144
The average 3.9 dak is around 120 at the wheels
My stock 92 motor with all the mods ported intake
and heads is pulling 189 RWHP
189 divided by .8 = 236 at the crank
This was my last dyno run the same day my stroker
hit 309/322 at the wheels in a 94 sport 4.10
gears 2200 stall and a 518 trans 10.5 comp and
a very hot cam and custom ASE computer

Larry,
How much money would you say you put into your stroker to get it to that level? and how much did that computer cost? I don't have plans to make my 6 into a stroker but i would like to eventually build a different vehicle and i am interested just to see how much your build costed.

The ASE chiped computers are no longer mad in the
good old USA I got this one about 3 years ago
for my first stroker motor than sent it back to
give it more fuel but it never ran right
I just thought I would try it on my new stroker
and it runs nice on this one 11 more ponies than
the mopar perf comp
First stroker 267/306 around $6000
second stroker 309/322 around $8000
The basic stroker kit cost around $2000
crank rods and pistons and adds about 50hp all by
itself and lots of low end torque around 225 at
the crank you don't need to do everything I did
to enjoy stroking Im just certifiable when it
comes to my trucks and cars
Like my 69 road runner 383 6 pack 550hp
I am and will be untill the day I die Car Crazy
but my old lady understands me so Im cool she
always tells me Im nuts so whats dropping $15,000
on a couple motors

yeah as of right now there would be no way i could even spend 2k on a kit. i am still in college but when i get out if the dakota is still in my possession we will see what i decide...i like the sound of the word HEMI. and i am not afraid of fabrication. thanks for the info larry.
