it is not quite a direct bolt on, you have to slightly enlarge the air intake hole in the manifold to allow the butterflies to open more then just a little bit. no need to buy a new cable IF the TB is from a donor truck just make sure you get the clip that the V8 TB uses to connect the cable to and it will work.

There are very few trucks that the throttle plates
hit if it does just go get 2 new V8 TB gaskets
and bolt it on

Its a no no to be grinding or removing any
material from the intake while its bolted to the
motor getting crap into the intake

If the throttle bores on a V8 TB are larger than the manifold, what do you suppose the net result will be?

Hmmm, dual torque steps?

Probably not. The sharp step would cause turbulance and distrupt the smooth flow created by the TB. This also a problem with poorly aligned gaskets. People go to all the trouble to port an polish their TBs and then you look down the bore and see the gasket sticking out.
