lol...gotta love the cops catching you at just the right time. My friend got nailed drifting in the Walmart parking lot one night. Went out, pulled a 180, and came back down the aisle next to the rest of us... the same aisle as the cop who just happened to be cruising by. Made a nice wallpaper on my phone though...lol.

I've also been followed for doing a burnout off a stop sign in the Walmart parking lot. Didn't see the cop across the lot til after my tires quit squealing and saw him doing a beeline across the lot and popped out right behind me. Never did pull me over, just followed me til I left the city limits and pulled a U-turn.

And just as an FYI...if anyone ever told you that you can't get a ticket in a parking lot (unless the cops are called on you by management obviously), it's total BS. What a cop will do if he really wants to nail you is go in and talk to the store's management and ask them if they wish to press charges or not. Most stores have no problem with pressing charges on you.

What woud be really funny is if you hit a mother
pushing a stroller and then you went to prison for 20
years where some big boo repeatedly raped your ass
and then when you got out you found out you parents
and family were all dead and then you had to face the
civil suit and then when you were down and out and
broke and feeling like ending it all some guy hired by
the family of the people you murdered while trying to
prove to your moronic punk friends that ou are the
biggest moron punk comes and puts a 9mm air hole
between your eyes. LOL

Are you for real? Who has a statute on their books like that? That's like giving somebody a ticket for "preparing to sell crack" just because their black and standing near a street corner.

I hope the judge laughed at the cop to his face when your buddy plead not guilty by reason of the cop made it up.

That guy was really dumb if he paid that. Every ticket can be fought, 90% of the time if you fight it you'll win or atleast get a reduced fine. There is no preparing to speed anywhere in the US, so the ticket could not have said that on it. Probrally someone being smart with the cop and he wrote the ticket for something else. If your nice to them and coperate, you'll be fine. They are just doing there job.

THANK YOU JFH! AS A COP MYSELF YOU ARE EXACTLY CORRECT! THERE IS NO "PREPARING TO SPEED" THAT IM AWARE OF ON THE BOOKS IN ANY STATE. THE GUY MOST LIKELY GOT AN ATTITUDE WITH THE OFFICER AFTER BEING PULLED OVER FOR SOMETHING AND PROBABLY MADE UP THE WHOLE BULLSH## STORY OF BEING PULLED OVER FOR "PREPARING TO SPEED"! TRUST ME, YOU WILL GET A TICKET IF YOU COME OFF WITH AN ATTITUDE WITH ANY OFFICER! MOST OF THE TIME WHEN A PERSON IS PULLED OVER FOR SOMETHING, THE OFFICER MOST LIKELY ISN'T SURE IF HE IS GOING TO TICKET THE PERSON OR NOT. IF THE REASON FOR THE STOP IS MINOR AND THE PERSON IS POLITE AND COURTIOUS TO THE OFFICER, HE WILL MOST LIKELY LEAVE WITH JUST A WARNING! IF THE PERSON DECIDES TO GIVE THE OFFICER ATTITUDE,,,WELL HE MOST POSITIVELY WILL LEAVE WITH A TICKET!! ACE AND ALL HIS FRIENS NEED TO GROW UP AND ACT THEIR AGE, NOT THEIR SHOE SIZE! I'VE BEEN ON NIGHT SIFT SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND I,VE SEEN PLEANTY OF MOTHERS PUSHING STROLLERS THROUGH PARKING LOTS AT 11:30PM. SOME PEOPLE WAIT UNTIL LATE TO DO THEIR SHOPPING BECAUSE OF THE CROWDS, OR MAYBE THEY JUST GET OFF WORK LATE LIKE NURSES DO AND THAT IS THE ONLY TIME THEY HAVE TO SHOP. ANYWAY, ITS ALL FUN AND GAMES UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY HIT SOME POOR MOTHER AND HER CHILD JUST TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING AND BUY FOOD FOR HER FAMILY!!!! THEN YOU GET TO SPEND THE NEXT 30 YEARS IN PRISON BEING SOME BIG SON-OF-A-B####'S GIRLFRIEND! THINK ABOUT THIS THE NEXT TIME YOR ARE ABOUT TO ONE OF THOSE MASSIVE BURN-OUTS! IS IT REALLY WORTH IT????????

Tell that to a kid in my home town. He and his friends decided to do stupid stuff like this in an empty k-mart parking lot. One decided to hood surf on a friends jeep. It was all well and good untill he slipped, fell off, was ran over and died from his injuries.

Even if you are conviced or not, just image living the rest of your life knowing you killed a "friend".

The cops I know are just as VWB563 described. They give tickets when given attitude. Most also give tickets to those with records, regardless if they were nice or not. Getting caught once might be a mistake, getting caught 2, 3?, more times is not. It's one more step to them getting your license revoked. One more step to them not having to work a fatal accident in the future.

cops are usually pretty lienient (spelling?) with tickets. stupid stuff is sometimes fun but within limits. doughnuts can be considered destruction of property so try to avoid doin em in places where you know they care. as far as tire wear, thats their own problem, dont make judgements and pretend to know the person behind the wheel, you never know he could be your boss some day. everybody likes to have a little fun dont put somebody down because you share a different view of maturity. id say your mindless spin-off was more immature then the doughnut.

Ace, people are just like cars and trucks, you can get a lemon in any of them. We police officers are not all like the one that you encountered. Most of us care about our job and do our best to be good officers. We are fair and understanding. Sounds like to me that you encountered one that has what we call "burn-out", which mean that he has been doing the job for so long that he has lost his compassion for people and the job. Trust me, we are not all like the one you are describing. Didn't you you say the one that pulled you over for doing the dougnut gave you a break? Well, there you go! He was understanding or he would've given you a ticket!
