I have a '95 3.9L 5-speed. Recently, I changed the thermostat and also the O2 sensor. These changes were recomended by the dealership. They also said the fuel pump had 35-40 psi. With these changes, the engine still skips when the gas gauge gets to half a tank or less. I have already replaced the fuel pump two times in two years. It doesn't make any diference whether the truck is going up or down a hill or on a flat road-fast or slow-it will start skipping. I've replaced the plug wires, plugs, dist.cap and rotor last fall. When this starts skipping, it't like someone pulled a plug wire for a second or two and then put it back on. All this happens with a half a tank of gas or less. Thanks for any help.
