I have a few questions.
1. i was reading that if i had a throttle body on my truck i could change the injectors from a 318 and it would gain HP, knowing i have a carb on my truck (87) im wondering what i could do to my carb to gain any peformance.
2. Im going to be purchaseing 31s for my truck. I have read on other forums that they will fit on my truck it will just be a tight squeeze Just with the front the rears will be no problem. Is this true. What is the lug patter for a 87 dakota. i measured 5x4.5 This is center to senter of each hole. But someone stated it was 5x4.25 in another post. I hopeing someone could help with that confusion.

the 31s im goin to be getting come with monte carlo rims (chevy) which is 5x4.75 Knowing that i need 5 inches of wheel spaceing in the front i want to make sure i will be buyin the right wheel spacers.

Any info would be great

your bolt pattern is what you measured. 5 on 4.5"
As for your carburator there are things you can do but it depends on how its running now, if the carb is tuned right and running well then there isnt much, if thats not the case then you can change main jets to get some more or less fuel to optimize your mixture. other then that your option would be a higher flow carb. as for the 31's i would reccomend a budget lift...crank up the torsion bars about an inch on each side and but 1 " blocks in the rear. that should keep you looking a little better and increase ground clearance a tad. good luck...(you will notice it to be a little doggy going to 31's...you might want different gearing)
