 Subject: Strange Transmission Problem

ok, I was going to Mobile,AL. And I ran into some stop and go taffic. About 20 mins into the jam the fastest I reached was 15 mph. Finally at one stop my check engine light comes on. At first nothing appears to be wrong, truck is still on ,running good. Until the jam starts to clear up and the traffic speeds up. So I take off nice and slow like I always do and I notice that when I reach 10 mph the transmission didn't shift like it was suppose to and when it reached 15 mph, normally when it shifts again, and it didn't. It gets up to 20mph when it finally shifts for both the missed gears. At this time i'm somewhat freaking out. So I get off on the next exit, stop at the top. Start moving again, and the transmission shifts perfectly. Now ever time I start my truck, and go driving,those first gears wait until 20 mph to shift and then ever time after that the shift perfect, Until I turn my truck off and do it all over again.

I had the same thing happen to my truck turns out it was the speed sensor I replaced it and now its fine that was like 3 months ago

hey, at least yours was moving, i was listening to some music driving down the road one day and all of a sudden, the engine revs up really high, shift it manually, nothing, hit the gas, nothing, no forward or reverse gear. let me tell you that sucks.

I'm dealing with the same problem on my 03 4x4 quad cab, won't shift, shifts up gears and then back down quickly at slow speeds. Shift's HARSHLY, has 12,000 miles on it. was told by dealer " it's a dodge thing" Great explanation there. impressed the heck out me. Anyone have any solution's?
