Are there any aftermarket intake manifolds out there for the 3.9L? If so, what kind of horsepower/torque gains could you expect to see out of one. Thanks.

hughesengines.com, they just modify the stock manifolds. way pricy too for the mild gains. necessary maybe if youre running boost and youve had the heads/cam done. you can pull yours off and smooth out/shorten the runners and open the ports for way cheap, thats what i did. buy their aluminum pan fix to fix the belly pan while its off and youll be all set.

do a search on this topic, youll find some threads that had plenty of info

Yeah ive modified the intake and it works nice but i havent been impressed with the seal of the belly pan. What type of filler could i use to fill in some of the empty space

Im really more interested in a diff manifold for the elimination of the belly pan and possible performance.

I know they make em though or atleast used to since one guy converted over to carbed and had a diff manifold.

That's the only way and you can't use your stock heads either.

When you shorten up the runners on the manifold, you lose bottom end and don't know why anyone would want to do that, especially on a V6. You can fill the plenum with a turtle, weld or use some kind of filler to regain some of that loss.

The new V8 gasket is much better than the old, but I don't know about the V6. You can eliminate the gasket all together and use a sealer like "The Right Stuff."

I bet those heads are the premag heads arent they?.
Oh well guess ill find some kind of epoxy to fill the plenum area and see how long the right stuff sealant lasts. Heck i may even see if i can get it o-ringed.It appear that only a 1/16" or maybe a 3/32" width ring will fit.

Thanks for the info
