Appreciate the help from before but now bigger problems, will not start, and you can smell gas like its flooding, and that without touching the throtle. Would the fuel pump be bad? I just replaced the carb, set the timing, checked the rotorary button and cap, thats all good,...It started yesterday evening, ran for awhile, but the next morning, would not start at all,...Very stumped, any suggestions?????

Its an 87 and has a 3.9 V6.

you need to find out if you have spark or not I had that problem with my 93 took it to a shop and they told me I needed a new computer it turned out to be wire harness had corrosion

Thanks everyone,...As it turned out, it was the coil, replaced the plugs as well, and it now runs like a champ, the high and low speed idle screws need adjusting! Thanks again for all the help.
