i've got a 96 3.9 mpi v-6.i got fuel all the way to the injector rail with plenty of fuel presure and a good strong spark at the distrubitor & to all of the plugs.the engine just keeps turning (like when the auto shutdown fuse is blown) but it don't even act like it wants to start.tryed the ignition flash codes its given me every thing from MAP senser circuit, to AIC somthing (dont remember) to radiator fan control relay. its got about 196,000 miles but never had a problem that was this hard to trouble shoot, find & fix.

Sounds like your crankshaft postion sensor,I had the same problem years ago on my '94 3.9 Dakota....couldnt figure it out ,had it hauled to the dealership & $150.00 later I was back in business. My most recent episode turned out to be a broken splice of wires under the fusebox under in the engine compartment. There are 3 wires that run the ASD(auto shut down) they were corroded and broken,I soldered them back..and as I said earlier,Im back in business now, before it spit the bit last time it was running rough, gauges were flickering & such,Its a lot better now.Hope this helps.
