Message:
Did a full tune-up(plugs, cap, rotor, air filter, oil, flushed rad.) on my truck this weekend, '96 club cab sport, 3.9 auto tranny, MarkIII conversion. Now I'm getting a really weird problem, when the truck shuts down, about 5 seconds or so after putting the Key in the off position from run (doesn't matter if the truck was started or the key was just set in run), I get an audible click and the Cruise Control Indicator light in the steering wheel flashes once. Not sure if the click is in the dash or the engine bay, haven't been able to pinpoint it yet. I've checked and re-checked the vacum hoses and electrical conections into and out of the throttle body that I may have bumbed doing the distributor but they all seemed OK. The cruise control seems to be working OK also. Tried disconnecting the battery to clear the computer and this didn't help either. Thanks for any help or ideas.

Still doing it, doesn't seem to be affecting anything, just annoying. A friend who works for SLP suggested having the PCM reflashed by a dealer, anyone think that would solve the problem?

NO - you would probably lose engine timing with one of those " reflashes " !!
As long as everything works ok otherwise
leave it alone....
