My '89 V6 has a factory tach. Says it redlines at 4800 rpm.

Having an '89 4x4 3.9L, I'd agree with Spyder. I've never seen mine hit 5,000 RPM's. Usually quits around 4,700 or so...

Tiger, do you happen to know where the peak of the horsepower curve is for our trucks? In the dealer brochure for the 2000 Magnum V6, I think it said the peak was at 4000 rpm. Ours close to that?

I dont know. If you know where to look, I might be able to find the answer....I have the Chrysler service manual for the truck and it might be in there...

I have an 88 dakota LE with 231k on it and mine has a factory rev limiter at 4500 Rpms.

Interesting? REMEMBER you're you're driving 5000 pound eightys era chrysler product with only a 125 horse NEW and 15 years of rust and abuse how fast do think its going to move. Were not exactly talking a b body hemi. But if you really must know the top end is about 90mph peak horsepower and torque are probably around 2500 or less. While we are on the subject of gen.1s does anybody know how to pull in the fixed camber on a 4wd on mine the camber appears to be locked in via two threaded rivets that pass through the upper control arm frame pearch and thread into the pivet arm i've got 2.2+ camber/ tires leaned out at top BUT hears the tough part the pivet arm is almost against the frame rail and the bushings appear to be in good shape so what the heck could couse this if it's subbosedly FIXED CAMBER?

Mine will run past 100 mph.
Not sure how fast I'm acually going w/31x10.50's on it.
I also just put a MSD 6a & Blaster coil on Sunday and have not drivin it at WOT yet. Plan to soon after PCM has time to adjust.
Does anyone know how I can figure my speed, 3.55 axle. I'm going to change the speedo gear eventually, but for now I'd like to have and idea, if anyone can help me out a bit. Thanks!
