 Subject: Cause of Trans failures?

What is the cause of most of the transmission failures in Dodge trucks? I have heard not changing the fluid over time causes buildup in the filters. Not keeping fresh fluid in them. Putting the incorrect fluid. I have heard that pulling heavy loads in overdrive burns them up. What is the main cause?

everything you just said,
a trans cooler will help alot,heat kills a trans,
not just dodge but all makes,
service them once a yr[filter,fluid] and common sense goes along ways
