Ok I have modded the exaust and am ready to modify the intake. Does the FIPK for the 3.9 in a 1993 see any help from the upgrade? Any help is greatly appreciated.

it is, but you can get away cheaper by getting the standard 14x3" air cleaner from them...its the same thing.

Get the K&N Filter, then build a PVC Pipe to replace the snorkel looking device. Also remove the plastic at the front of the grill blocking the intake.

i just used the K&N drop in filter
30 -40$ depending where ya go
and removed the plastic block off plate out in front of the cold air inlet just as JFH just mentioned, made a big differance in my truck
