Your local Dodge dealership can supply you with a Mopar Performance Shift Improver Kit, I installed one and it works GREAT, set it up for "heavy duty/racing" unless you just want nonbone jarring shifts. lol
You can go full shift kit @ twice the price but its really meant for full race, I think Turbo Action makes them.

Good luck, Scott

Got the package in front of me and all it says is "Shift Kit A500 Lock-Up" its part# P5249640.

I'll ask my friend at the Dodge parts counter if its the same.

I found these kits for $44.95, pretty cheap!

http://www.mopartsracing.com/parts/trans.html

It only says 89-94, will it work?
My truck is a 1998 318 automatic, which one will I need? (I think its an A-518)

Thanks

Anyone?
Like I said, its a 98 so it is a 42re (or is it 44re) which is the same as A-518. I think anyway?

Hey FazDak is this kit easy to install in a driveway?

i think the 42 is just an electronic version of the A-500 and the 44 an electronic version of the A-518... that's the impression i got from www.converters.com

4wDakota, its not real hard but I have done quite a few shift kits in my time so it may sseem a little easier to me.
Make sure to have a VERY clean work bench to do the valve body work on.

Intense, what do you think they mean by "electronic"? seems a hydraulic trans cant be anything else?

Good luck, Scott
