Hey folks,

My '96 just started doing this thing where the oil pressure gauge reads pretty high while I'm driving, but it goes back to normal (right in the middle) while I'm idling at a light or something.

Haven't changed oil in 4-6 months, but it's only been 2000 miles. The problem is constant, that is, it continues after the oil is plenty warmed up.

Do you think it's anything to worry about? Anyone know what's causing it? Or did I just never notice it before and it's actually normal?

160,000 miles on truck, but it's clean and runs perfect otherwise.

Regards,
John

sounds normal. if that's all the miles your puttin on that truck, IMO you might want to start chaning the oil every 3 months instead of waiting to rack up 3,000 miles.

That's good news.

Good point about oil-changes I guess. I didn't think of doing that. I'll be using it more now that winter's approaching.

Thanks!
