Went to get dual put on my truck, they told me that my cat was bad and I that I should have it replaced before I get my new muffler put on. He wanted allot of money to do it, So I was going to put a new cat on myself. I called the dealer to ask for their opinion and they told me the cat carried an 8 year 80,000 mile warranty. I didn’t know if you knew this but I thought I would pass this on. Oh yea one more thing. They told me that timing chain rattles. How do I fix this?

The warranty info should be in the back of your owners manual. The paint to powertrain to exhaust. The Exhaust carries a longer warranty, the government forced that a few years ago, but thanks for the heads up some might not no this.

All timing chains on 3.9's rattle. mine does as well, right off the showroom floor almost. The chain needs to be replaced and rubber tensioner added to chain. Directions on this are all over the web. Its kinda invasive though.

Thats the emissions warranty. 8 yr/80,000 on certain emissions components, such as the Cat, Air pump (for vehicles with them), and other parts.
